Scandinavia’s oldest and likely largest food tour company
In 2012, Peter Rasmussen and his family embarked on a trip to Rome. After three days of visiting the Torre Argentina Cat Sanctuary, Peter decided to explore other activities in the city. His search led him to a food tour called Eating Rome.
Participating in a four-hour food tour with a local guide, Peter was captivated by the flavors of Roman cuisine. Enthusiastically returning to his hotel, he announced to his family, “I’m starting something like this in Copenhagen!”
At the time, NOMA, led by René Redzepi, was the world’s best restaurant, and the Nordic food manifesto had recently been published. Peter was inspired to showcase the finest of Nordic cuisine to guests from around the globe.
A few years later, he expanded his food tours to Stockholm and Oslo, guided by local experts. He discovered that many guests traveled throughout Scandinavia and were eager to experience food tours in all three countries.
Today, Foodtours.eu stands as Scandinavia’s oldest and likely largest food tour company, boasting the highest number of five-star reviews and delighting over 35,000 guests since 2012.
